Much depends on the type of educational institution: in public universities the cost will be 25,000-35,000 CAD per year, in private colleges – 15,000-25,000 CAD per year.

Cost for various programs:

Undergraduate/Bachelor’s Degree

From 25,000 to 40,000 CAD per year. Costs may vary depending on the university, province, and program chosen. Humanities and social sciences are generally cheaper than engineering, medicine, or business programs.

Graduate/Master’s Degree

Accommodation and adaptation

To adapt smoothly to Canada, it is worth getting acquainted with the peculiarities of Canadian society in advance, being open to new acquaintances and participation in student events, establishing contacts with local students and communities. Living in dormitories helps international students adapt more quickly.

Accommodation options:

Student Residences

Conveniently located and great opportunity to meet other students. Cost: $600 – $1800+ CAD per month, depending on amenities and location.

Rent a room or apartment

More freedom and privacy, often cheaper than dorms, especially when shared: $500 – $1500+ CAD per month, depending on city and area.

Homestay

Allows you to immerse yourself in American culture, improve your English, and get support. Cons: less freedom. Costs range from $1,000 to $2,800+ CAD per month, including meals.

In order to adapt smoothly and quickly to another country, we recommend our students to live in dormitories. This will give more opportunities for communication and new acquaintances. If necessary, do not hesitate to ask for help from a psychologist, who, by the way, is available at every university. All this will help to alleviate the stress of adaptation.
